DESCRIPTION:
Center located on the right bank, downstream of the confluence with the river Egola, Holy Cross is known for tanning leather, with shoe factories and machinery for tanning.
The original core of the town has a rectangular plan, with the grid of perpendicular streets.
Medieval castle, is mentioned in documents of the thirteenth century.
The parish church, rebuilt in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, has Roman ruins, preserves choral miniatures of the fifteenth century and paintings from the eighteenth-nineteenth centuries.
