The synagogue in Via Palestro, in use continuously for 400 years, is an important monument to its original seventeenth century, the restoration took place in the nineteenth century by the architect Marco Treves, one of the largest synagogue architects, as well as for the furniture contained within it. Can be considered one of the most interesting examples of religious architecture Italian Jewish history and culture of the testimony of an important Community has been to Pisa, whose first testimony archival documents date back to the fifteenth century
